The Singing Sands Gorge

Whilst the Singing Sands Gorge area was bright if not sunny all day a strong wind caused a minor sand storm to get in the way of decent photography. It made accurate exposure very difficult indeed. Later in the trip sand in one my Mamiya camera bodies gave me some, thankfully short lived, trouble.

Around Dongsheng

The next day the weather around Dongsheng was very overcast but did slowly get brighter. However I decided I was best off using black & white film all day.

From Dongsheng we headed to back to Baotou and ultimately on to Chengde.
