Prague in April 2007

In late April 2007 I visited Prague with my father and two friends from Australia. The trip was a sight-seeing one, not a railway trip, but that didn't mean railways didn't feature a little! The photos shown are presented below in categories based on the area of town or subject matter rather than in the order they were taken.

Hradčany and Mala Strana Districts

Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, Strahov Monastery, Waldstein Gardens, Charles Bridge & St Nicholas church.

Josefov & Stare Mesto Districts

The Jewish quarter including the old cemetery, the old town including the Town Hall, Church of St Tyn, the Powder Gate.

Nove Mesto District & Views from Petrin Park

The new town, Karel Boromejsky Church, site of the hideout for the killers of Reichsprotektor Reinhard Heidrich and views from the observation tower in Petrin Park.

Trams & Trains

General shots of various trams around Prague's excellent system and trains at Prague Hlavní nádraží station.
